Steve Young has been building Compass swimming pools for Compass Pools Melbourne for nineteen and a half years. 2017 marks the 20th year building. His son Josh started working with him over 4 years ago officially but had been helping out when he could for many more years. We remember Josh at our family Christmas parties (back before digital cameras) getting his face painted!
Fibreglass pool building is not like a normal ‘trade’ where you have trade school or apprenticeship one can do. It is quite a specialised skill set. We are very pleased Steve has been with us for all this time and that his son Josh is following in his footsteps.
When I asked Steve ‘I think it is up to 20 years …. What do you think you will do to celebrate this’ ….after a very busy Summer (and with a huge installation demand for Autumn) Steve replied ‘just a day off!’
