The Project
An unbelievable transformation — three SPASA Golds in one project
Thanks to thoughtful landscaping, the right materials, and the best pool & spa combination, this Mornington Peninsula backyard was completely transformed. The 10.3m Fastlane is long enough for genuine lap swimming. The X-Trainer spa sits attached to the pool. The Compass Beach gives the kids their own zone. The SPASA judges agreed.
The configuration
Lap pool + spa + beach — one composition serving three different family modes.
The 10.3m Fastlane handles serious lap swimming. The X-Trainer spa attaches directly — matching design language, integrated plumbing. The Compass Beach gives kids a shallow zone of their own. Three water zones, one continuous architectural gesture.
The acrylic wall
An innovative acrylic wall replaces the standard fibreglass on the long side — for amazing views from inside the pool.
Replacing a fibreglass shell wall with acrylic is structural surgery. The frame has to carry the same load, the seal has to last decades, and the visual line has to look intentional. The result: swimmers see out to the surroundings as they lap, rather than staring at a fibreglass wall.
The sloping site
Maxi Rib structural ribbing lets the pool sit partially above ground on a falling Mornington Peninsula block.
Sloping coastal sites usually mean either huge excavation costs or compromised pool position. Our Maxi Rib technology takes the structural load so the Fastlane can sit partially or completely above ground level — no compromise on where the pool goes.
