The Project
A seaside semi-retirement, with a water view of their own
Jill and her husband had semi-retired from Traralgon and moved to Inverloch — downsizing, but upgrading the lifestyle. They wanted a pool that connected the living area to the outdoors, gave them their own “water view”, and made the grandkids’ visits something to look forward to. The 7.2m X-Trainer in Quartz delivered all three.
The brief
Bring the pool right up to the living area — indoor and outdoor merging into one zone.
The next chapter of life meant a house that worked harder for them — somewhere to relax, somewhere the grandchildren wanted to come back to. The pool needed to live with the house, not feel like an add-on at the back of the block.
A water view, not a sea view

Sea-view blocks in Inverloch carry a premium. The clients took a great inland block and used the pool to give themselves a daily water vista of their own — from the living area, from the kitchen, every morning. Better than a sea view in some ways: this one’s yours, you can swim in it, and the kids can splash in it.
The hardware
Lincoln salt chlorinator, Spa Electric LED lights, gas boost + Sunbather solar from spring to autumn.
The setup is built for a coastal lifestyle: solar covers the warmer months, the gas heater is there for boost when needed. Salt water is gentler on skin than traditional chlorine, the LED lights make evening use beautiful. Self-cleaning was Jill’s call — she wanted to see clean water every day, not chase debris with a net.
Two people, then suddenly seven

The X-Trainer 7.2 works for both modes. Two adults swim laps in the morning across the unobstructed corridor between the twin entry steps. Grandkids invade in the afternoon — the steps at both ends become play platforms, the lap zone becomes the splash zone. One pool, two completely different uses, no compromise either way.
