Extended cooling off period in pool contracts
We would like to reassure future pool owners that if they do want to install a pool or they were thinking about putting a swimming pool in, in the next foreseeable time, even before this pandemic arrive, then it’s something that if their circumstances allow, we want to work with them but recognize that it is a very stressful time. So that is why we want to extend our cooling off period for 12 months, which allows you to be in complete control of your project.
You can still proceed with all the important decision-making and all the planning and all that mental space that’s required to decide the finer details of having a swimming pool built. The 12-month cooling off period allows you to do all this work with just the 5% of the cost.
I do note that this is a non-refundable 5% of a, a contract allowance, however, not one extra dollar will be charged through to you, until you push the go button on the project. And if you do push the stop button, you will not incur one further cost.
A verified and well-working contract provision
Remember, this is not something that we haven’t dealt with before as far as the stop and go part of a contract. This is something that we have been working with many customers for, for a very long time. So when we have complicated jobs, this is a great way to allow our customers to get the finer details worked out before all the stress of excavation equipment turning up in your back yard, and of trying to quickly decide what paver you might want.
So it might be a good opportunity for many people just to plan the back yard, the swimming pool and everything over the next few months. Our salespeople will be happy to Zoom meetings with you and go through all the logistics involved with a swimming pool, to be able to get the dollars right.
They’re obviously not able to get the angle of repose and all the finer details required when it comes to a build, but they can get the dollars right for you. And then we can fine-tune those decisions and that information through over the next period of time.
